Rescission Letter Generator
Use this tool only if you recently purchased and may still be inside the rescission window. Verify the deadline first, then generate the notice quickly and document delivery.
When this tool is the right next step
- ✓Use this tool only if you are still inside the rescission window or have very strong reason to believe you are.
- ✓Verify the deadline, counting method, and notice instructions before you generate and send anything.
- ✓Move fast, but do not trade speed for a deadline mistake. Certified or contract-required tracked delivery still matters.
Estimate your send-by date first
Use the rescission calculator if you need help translating the date rules into a practical mailing deadline.
Check state rescission rules
Use the state guide if you still need to verify day-count method, notice rules, or timing confidence.
Missed the rescission window?
Use the guide and case review only if rescission no longer looks available and you need a different exit path.
What is Rescission?
Rescission is your legal right to cancel a timeshare contract within a short period after signing — typically 3 to 15 days depending on your state.
During this "cooling-off" period, you can cancel for any reason (or no reason at all) and receive a full refund of any money paid.
This is the easiest and cheapest way to exit a timeshare — but the window is very short.
Important Notes
- !The clock starts when you sign the contract
- !You must send the letter via certified mail
- !Keep a copy and the certified mail receipt
- !The postmark date counts, not the delivery date
- !Some states have different rules — verify yours
