RESEARCH

Live timeshare cancellation company comparison table.

Use this BBB-backed table to compare timeshare cancellation companies by complaint patterns, pricing visibility, and review signals before you build a shortlist.

How to use this live comparison table well

  • ✓Use the table to narrow your shortlist, not to make a hiring decision from one score alone.
  • ✓Compare pricing visibility, complaint history, guarantee language, and review patterns together before you contact anyone.
  • ✓If a company still looks promising after the table, move into due diligence, not straight into payment.

Search intent

Companies

Use the table to compare actual providers side by side instead of relying on one-off review pages or ad copy.

Search intent

Services

Treat 'services' as a scope question. You still need to confirm what the company actually does, what it excludes, and when legal help may be the better tool.

Search intent

Reviews

Do not rely on star ratings alone. Read complaint patterns, written responses, and review anomalies together before trusting a positive surface impression.

Who this comparison is really for

This page is for you if

You already know the file is probably beyond simple rescission and you need to compare providers, pricing posture, complaint patterns, and fit before you call anyone.

This page is not the first stop if

The purchase was recent, the ownership still has a loan you do not understand, or the real issue may be legal or probate-driven rather than provider-selection driven.

Quote reality

$199/month for 24 months

Looks lighter up front, but the total price and the refund trigger may still make it a weaker deal than a shorter, better-documented plan.

$4,500 flat fee

Could be reasonable, but only if the written scope, exclusions, and update path are strong enough to justify the upfront risk.

Free consultation, custom quote

Not automatically bad. It just means this table and the cost guide matter more because the website is not doing the transparency work for you.

Read reviews like a buyer, not a browser

Company reviews are useful only if they help you ask better questions.

Read the complaint pattern, not just the star average

A polished rating can hide repeated issues around refunds, update cadence, or scope disputes. Look for recurring themes and how the company answers them publicly.

Treat quote-only sales models as a diligence trigger

Quote-based pricing is not automatically bad, but it means the written agreement and exclusions matter more because the website is not doing the transparency work for you.

Check whether the review story matches the service story

If reviews praise easy communication but the agreement is vague on scope, timing, or refunds, keep digging. Surface sentiment and contract reality need to line up.

Convert reviews into diligence

  • ✓Ask why the company's public reputation should outweigh any missing pricing or vague scope language.
  • ✓Use public reviews to spot recurring process issues, then test those exact issues against the written agreement.
  • ✓If the review story is good but the contract still feels unclear, the contract wins.

What the table cannot do for you

A shortlist is useful. A blind pick is not.

This comparison is strongest when it helps you remove weak options quickly and focus your due diligence. It is not designed to replace contract review, written-scope review, or a realistic fit check tied to your own ownership. Use the scores to narrow the field, then do the work that proves whether a provider is actually safe enough to hire.

A company can score well on public BBB data and still be a poor fit for your ownership type, timeline, or documentation reality.

A weak score should trigger more due diligence, not an automatic legal conclusion. Public complaint patterns are clues, not court findings.

This table cannot replace reading the service agreement, refund terms, pricing structure, or the actual written promises made to you.

If a company survives the table

  • ✓Request the written agreement and read the exact scope, refund triggers, and exclusions before you discuss payment.
  • ✓Ask which documents the provider reviews before recommending a plan, and how it handles files that should stay in research mode.
  • ✓Check whether the company publishes pricing, shows a real team, and explains how updates are handled after onboarding.

What the proof can and cannot do

  • ✓The table uses public BBB-backed fields and published website signals, not private sales transcripts or unpublished customer files.
  • ✓A strong BBB/profile signal can help a company survive the first screen, but it does not prove your contract is a fit or the quote is reasonable.
  • ✓The right workflow is public-record screen first, written-agreement review second, payment decision third.

Trust Index

Each company gets a score from 0 to 100. We look at four things: Pricing Transparency (posted prices and year founded), BBB Standing (grade and accreditation status), Complaint History (recent complaints and average rating), and Review Credibility (volume, one-star rate, anomaly score). Companies are ranked by Trust Index, highest first.

Last updated: March 30, 2026 at 9:21 AM (UTC)Coverage: 46 canonical companies from 50 BBB profilesTwo independent scores are provided: reputation risk (complaints/one-star/accreditation/BBB rating) and anomaly risk (review-pattern irregularities). Founded year precedence: Business Started date (BBB page), then yearEstablished, then vetted fallback override.

Methodology

We pull all data on this page from public BBB profile pages. Data is collected daily via automated audit. Cancel Timeshare is included in the comparison on equal terms. No company can pay to alter their score or position. Below is a complete description of every column and how each score is calculated.

BBB Rating

The BBB gives each company a letter grade (A+ to F) based on complaints, business age, and transparency. Read directly from the company's BBB profile page. BBB assigns and updates these grades independently.

Accredited

Whether the company holds current BBB accreditation. Accreditation is a paid, voluntary status that requires the business to meet BBB standards including complaint responsiveness, advertising honesty, and transparency. Read directly from the BBB profile.

Founded

The year the business was established. Source precedence: (1) BBB Business Started date on profile page, (2) BBB yearEstablished field, (3) vetted fallback when BBB founding data is missing.

Pricing

Whether the company publishes pricing information on their website. Determined by: (1) checking the homepage for links to /pricing, /prices, /cost, or /plans; (2) scanning for dollar amounts; (3) probing those paths with HTTP requests. A company shows 'Yes' if any check succeeds. Cancel Timeshare publishes tiered pricing directly on canceltimeshare.io/pricing.

Reviews

The total number of customer reviews listed on the company's BBB profile. Read from the reviewsTotal field in BBB's profile data. This count includes all star ratings (1 through 5).

Average Rating

The mean star rating across all customer reviews on BBB, expressed as a number from 1.00 to 5.00. Read from BBB's averageOfReviewStarRatings field. This is calculated by BBB across all reviews, not sampled.

Complaints (12 months)

The number of closed complaints filed with the BBB in the past 12 months. Read from the totalClosedComplaintsPastTwelveMonths field. BBB counts complaints that have been processed and closed, not open or pending disputes.

Complaints (3 years)

The number of closed complaints filed with the BBB in the past 3 years. Read from the totalClosedComplaintsPastThreeYears field. This is the standard BBB reporting window for complaint history.

One-Star Percentage

The proportion of sampled BBB reviews that are 1-star, expressed as a percentage. Calculated by dividing the count of 1-star reviews in the sample by the total sample size. Up to 8 pages of reviews (the most recent) are sampled per company.

Reputation Risk Score (0 to 100)

A composite score measuring consumer-facing reputation risk based solely on BBB data. Higher scores indicate higher risk. The score is the sum of applicable weighted signals, clamped to the range 0-100.

Closed complaints (12 months)30+ complaints: +35 points. 15-29: +24. 8-14: +14. 3-7: +6. Fewer than 3: no penalty.

Anomaly Risk Score (0 to 100)

A score that flags unusual review patterns that may point to fake or planted reviews. This score does not prove misconduct; it flags statistical patterns that warrant further scrutiny. Higher scores indicate more anomalies detected. The score is the sum of applicable weighted signals, clamped to 0-100. Scores are reduced by 8 points when fewer than 20 reviews are available.

Five-star concentration90%+ of sampled reviews are 5-star (requires 30+ sample): +18 points.
Short review rate65%+ of reviews are under 90 characters: +12 points.
Duplicate review text8%+ of reviews share near-identical normalized text: +22 points.
Same-day review spike6+ reviews posted on a single calendar day: +18 points.
Bursty review days25%+ of review days have 3+ reviews posted: +16 points.
Near-absent negative reviewsUnder 1% one-star AND over 95% five-star (requires 30+ sample): +10 points.
AI-like language detectionWhen enabled, reviews are analyzed via LLM for templated or AI-generated phrasing. High-confidence AI detection (35%+ of sample) with corroborating behavioral anomalies: +26 points. Moderate detection (25%+) with corroborating signals: +14 points. AI detection alone without behavioral corroboration adds no points but is noted as a signal.
Low sample size adjustmentFewer than 20 sampled reviews: score reduced by 8 points (minimum 0). This prevents over-penalizing companies with limited review history.

Data collection process

  • Source: All data is extracted from publicly accessible BBB profile pages at bbb.org. No proprietary or paid data sources are used.
  • Frequency: The audit runs automatically once per week at 09:17 UTC (Monday). Each run collects fresh data for every tracked company.
  • Review sampling: Up to 8 pages of the most recent customer reviews are collected per company per run. This typically covers the most recent 80 reviews. Metrics like one-star percentage and anomaly scores are calculated from this sample, not the full review history.
  • Year founded: Extracted using source precedence: Business Started date on BBB profile page first, then BBB yearEstablished field, then vetted fallback override when BBB founded-year data is missing.
  • Pricing on website: Determined by fetching the company homepage listed on their BBB profile and checking for pricing-related links (/pricing, /prices, /cost, /plans), scanning for dollar-amount patterns, and probing common pricing paths with HTTP HEAD requests.
  • AI text detection: When enabled, a sample of reviews (minimum 90 characters, up to 60 per company) is analyzed by a language model to estimate the probability of AI-generated or templated language. Detection results only contribute to the anomaly score when corroborated by behavioral patterns (duplicate text, burst posting, or extreme rating skew).
  • Equal treatment:Cancel Timeshare is audited using the same automated process, scoring weights, and thresholds as every other company. No manual adjustments are applied to any company's computed scores. For Cancel Timeshare, year founded and pricing visibility are independently verified and may supplement BBB data when that data is missing.
  • Canonicalization: When a brand has multiple BBB profiles (for example, entity or location variants), profile rows may be merged into one canonical company row. The table shows profile count and links to each underlying BBB profile to prevent profile-splitting from obscuring total complaint and risk context.

Limitations and disclaimers

  • This comparison reflects publicly available BBB data at the time of the most recent automated audit run. BBB ratings, complaint counts, and reviews may change between audits.
  • Reputation Risk and Anomaly Risk scores are statistical indicators, not legal findings. An elevated anomaly score does not prove fraud or misconduct. A low reputation risk score does not guarantee service quality.
  • Review sampling covers up to the most recent 80 reviews. Companies with large review volumes may have older reviews not reflected in anomaly metrics.
  • AI text detection is probabilistic and may produce false positives or false negatives. It is treated as a supplementary signal and only affects the anomaly score when corroborated by independent behavioral patterns.
  • Pricing detection relies on automated website scanning and may not detect pricing information displayed in non-standard formats, behind login walls, or on subdomains not linked from the homepage.
  • Cancel Timeshare operates this page and is included in the comparison. While the scoring methodology treats all companies equally, readers should consider this disclosure when evaluating results.
